P. G. Institute of Medical Sciences was established in the year 2017 by Gopsai Avinandan Sangha, a registered society under West Bengal Societies Act XVII, 1961.Gopsai Avinandan Sangha, since its inception in 2003 has been committed towards spreading education in different fields like, Teacher Education, Engineering, and Healthcare etc. through nine different Educational Institutions as of now. Considering the evolving demand of the society and need of conglomeration of academics and industry, Gopsai Avinandan Sangha has always diversified its wish to spread education in multiple fields. Stepping into the education of Healthcare, primarily into Pharmacy and later in Paramedical & Allied Health Sciences in 2021 are examples of this.
But the journey did not stop there. With the increased demand of new age business studies, Gopsai Avinandan Sangha explored more job oriented courses in form of Management as a discipline. Under P.G Institute of Medical Sciences, Bachelor of Hospital Administration and Master in Hospital Administration was commenced in the year 2021 which are affiliated by West Bengal University of Health Sciences and is recognized by Govt. of West Bengal. Further, in the year 2022 two Post graduate courses like Master in Business Administration (MBA) with specialization in Finance, HR, Marketing, Insurance & Risk Management, and Retail Management & Safety Management & Master in Hospital Administration (MHA) have been commenced under P.G Institute of Medical Sciences as well.
