Since my childhood while living, struggling and surviving with insufficiency, I used to dream to reshape the lives of the area and surroundings where I belong to. That dream with immense hard work and fighting over a lot of obstacles has made me create Gopsai Avinandan Sangha with an idea to explore several fields of education because education has the magic to enlighten people.
As the Indian economy has grown in recent years, there has been a rapid expansion in the productivity and research in Indian pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, justifying the need for quality pharmaceutical and allied health science education. Also, this sector caters to a job-oriented course which is a need of the society.
So PGIMS, the first pharmacy college in Paschim Medinipur started its journey in the year 2017 with its Pharmacy division, providing Diploma & Degree courses in Pharmacy. We were blessed to have no seats vacant since the beginning.
Further to cater other sectors of Health Sciences, when there is an acute shortage of healthcare professionals across the country, PGIMS launched its Paramedical & Allied Health Science wings in the year 2021.
The college has highly qualified, committed and experienced teaching faculty members who facilitate the students to keep abreast with academic challenges and developments. Our teaching-learning methods encourage interdisciplinary approaches through innovation projects, conferences, seminars and workshops.
